Behind the Easel

My work is emotional, melodramatic, and honest; a cathartic release - meant to give voice to all those moments when we get inside our own head and feel like we're alone. My hope is that when you experience my art, you'll fully realize that you are, in fact, not alone at all.

I recently became a librarian and currently work with photography collections at The Mariner's Museum in Newport News, Va.  I love books and libraries, but my real passion is art and creating.  My undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech is in Studio Arts with a focus on painting and drawing.

Lately, I've been busy creating the art for the hat pin and apparel company that I co-own, Love & Bass Pins, which has kept my creative mind open and introduced me to a wonderful culture. This has led me into the world of music festivals, concerts, and most importantly live painting - a world that now feels like home.
